Background:
Opened in 1968, Wheatcroft Primary is situated to the south of the seaside town of Scarborough, in North Yorkshire. It is housed in a pleasant building, which comprises five large classrooms. There are now three pre-fabricated classrooms on site, the latest of which was built to reduce infant class size. Sporting participation is valued and in previous years, experience has been offered in football, netball, cross-country, hockey, cricket, lacrosse, rounders, short tennis, swimming and athletics. Funds are also given to those local and national charities, which can best educate the children; about those in need, a previous example being Farm Africa. The school aims to develop the full potential of each individual child in an environment, which offers challenge, environment and support.
