Background:
The school was founded in 1932 and is located in Rawcuff, which is approximately one and a half miles from York City centre. The building is all on one level and has an excellent ICT suite with the ratio of one computer to eight children. They have recently extended the school by having small extension built, which has numerous uses as a classroom, music room, cooking unit, meeting place as well as extra-curricular activities. They also have a wide variety of after-school clubs, which are run by the teachers including gymnastics, football, netball, running, keyboard skills, needlework and drama. To provide a happy and stimulating atmosphere in which each child is able to work at its own ability level and reach a high standard of achievement.
