Background:
The new school was opened in April 2004 and has five classrooms, a large hall with kitchen and a library. There is a playground and a large playing field next to the school. The new school is spacious and well equipped. The school'serves the villages of Middleton Tyas and Moulton and in September 1989 it became the designated school for the children of Aldbrough St. John and Stanwick when their school closed. North Yorkshire County Council provides transport for pupils from Aldbrough St. John and Stanwick. The school provides Extra-curricular activities such as gym club, fun French, table tennis and football club. This is a school with positive, caring ethos shaped by the Christian perspective and caring supportive environment where every individual is valued. It has an atmosphere in which the beliefs of others are respected. The opportunity for pupils to develop their full potential academically.
