Background:

Marton Manor Primary School has a hardworking and friendly staff team. Care of pupils is excellent and all children make very good progress. Specialist French and Music teaching are provided for all pupils. There are a number of extra-curricular activities and a variety of Sports activities on offer. School productions take place across the year and there are opportunities for outdoor education. The whole building has recently been refurbished. The school has a Christian ethos and children are taught to respect all faiths and cultures. Staff are sympathetic to the Christian ethos. Childrens are eager to learn and are very caring towards our pupils with Special Needs. Visiting staff include a peripatetic cello teacher, a violinist who has worked with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and a harpist/pianist. We have a choir and several sports teams. A local pottery works with groups occassionally. Our Nursery provision is excellent and there are very good oppurtunities for visits and visitors to enchance pupil learning. We also visit the local Nursing home and nearby Ormesby Hall and Stawarts Park.
