Background:
Sessay School is a voluntary controlled Church of England Primary School, which was built in 1848. It has four classrooms, a staffroom, computer suite separate dining hall, playground and sports field. The school is able to offer places to 100 children between the ages of four-11 years. Netball and basketball clubs are run alternately each week. Specialist coaches are hired to run basketball and netball clubs. The school has a playing field with space to play football and other games. The school aims to provide a stimulating and interesting environment, encourage children to ask questions and develop enquiring and creative minds. It endeavours to establish a trusting relationship between children and staff, trying whenever possible to make school an extension of home and the community.
