Background:
Built in 1956, the school occupies a site in the town centre. Pupils are regularly involved in charity fundraising. The local community makes use of school facilities for a number activities, including yoga, theatre, dance and sunday school. Pupils have the opportunity to take part in clubs for football, art, drama, French and German after school. There is a learning support assistant who works with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in a 'well equipped' resources room. Care is available on site for pupils before and after school and during the holidays.
