Background:
North and South Cowton Community Primary School is a co-educational day school catering for children from the ages four to 11 years. There has been a school in North Cowton since 1878. The original Victorian School now houses just the junior children on a very pleasant site in the centre of the village. The school curriculum has core subjects including English, mathematics and science and foundation subjects including information technology, history, geography, design and technology, music, art and physical education. It is the aim of the school that each child reaches their full potential by providing an educational programme that takes into account differing needs and abilities.
