Background:

Highcliffe Primary School is the result of the amalgamation of Newstead Primary School and Kemplah Primary School on 1st September 1998. The school is situated on Hutton Lane where there is a separate nursery, playgroup and before and after-school club. The two main parts of the school building have been linked together by the building of a corridor and library. The library is organised according to the Dewey system, which prepares children for secondary school and public library usage. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school aims to create and maintain a caring and stimulating environment which encourages positive attitudes to learning.
