Background:

Opened in 1975 in semi-open-plan premises, centrally located in village; self-contained reception class, Year 5 and Year 6 classrooms and a hall/gymnasium. Facilities include multifunction play areas, games field, wild garden, pond and woodland study plot. A converted caretaker's bungalow houses a music room, library and study areas. In addition to academic excellence, the school takes pride in offering a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as football, netball, choir and band. After-school clubs include rounders, French, and art. The school is keen to promote arts and sport. Strong record of charitable giving; charitable events organised. Community involvement regarded as a key area of school life. 'It is a good, high-achieving caring village school.' Activities that include sports, crafts and computing.
