Background:
North Duffield School is a mixed Community Primary School for children aged four-11 years. It is non-denominational. The school is very fortunate to have a rural setting and in the summer, the playing fields are well used and enjoyed by all pupils. All parts of the school have comfortable areas where children can feel relaxed and at ease, as well as being surrounded by attractive displays of their work. The school also has after school orchestra, craft club and computer club. The school is extremely proud of the award winning school choir.The school provides various extra-curricular activities such as: football, netball, cricket, rounders and hockey. During the past year, the school was awarded the Basic Skill, quality mark, health schools status, excellent status for S.E.N., Dyslexia friendly schools status and highly effective schools status. The aim of the school is to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which all members of the school community can grow in self-esteem and develop their potential as human beings.
