Background:
Housed in modernised listed building dating from 1875 next to the village green, which serves as the school's playing field. The school has a playground, a small adventure play area, playhouse, climbing frames and the use of the village green. The school takes part in football, kwik-cricket, hockey, swimming and netball matches. Children in Years 5 and 6 learn French. Over-subscribed, with 1.7 applications per place. Schools Curriculum Award (2002); Basic Skills Quality Mark (2001); DfES achievement award (2003). Ethos: 'The ethos of the school stems from its Christian foundation.
