Background:
Built as a comprehensive in 1972, Rossett is well-equipped, especially in technology and sport. It is over-subscribed and a massive #1m building project is in progress to meet the growing pupil roll. An extensive extra-curricular programme includes exchanges with the USA and Germany. The school offers a specific learning services facility with its own director of studies and 18 staff. Particularly successful in sport, the school received a Gold Sportsmark in 1999 and won five regional sporting competitions in 2000. It achieved Investors in People status in 2000. 'The school is truly comprehensive, all children being encouraged and supported to become successful, well-rounded individuals'.
