Background:
Skipton, Water Street Community Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. The school is situated in a former Methodist Chapel near the centre of the market town of Skipton-the Gateway to the Dales. It has a number of after-school clubs in the spring term including art and craft, drama, cooking, sport, computer club, CDT, Languages and social games. The school has six classrooms, a library, a main hall, a lower hall, an ICT suite and a mobile classroom, which at present is used for peripatetic music and group work. The reception class uses the lower hall and has its own outdoor play area. Within the grounds it has two hard playing surface areas, a greenhouse, a paved area and an astro-turfed adventure area.
