Background:
Built in 1907, this school is situated in the 'picturesque' village of Thornton-in-Craven. Over the past 12 years, the school population has grown from 21 to 60 and more teaching space and office accommodation has recently been added. All pupils take part in annual musicals and concerts. They also have the opportunity to play a 'wide variety' of musical instruments. 'Strong links' are maintained with the community, particularly the Elderly People's Home where children sing at Christmas.
