Founded in 1973; situated in suburbs six miles south of Middlesbrough, within expansive grounds; accommodated in light, airy building consisting of linked nursery/reception teaching area, another three Key Stage 1 areas, and a Key Stage 2 area that includes a teaching area and an extension to provide a further three classrooms and a library. Multi-purpose hall and extensive ICT suite with 15 networked stations and interactive whiteboard; networked computer in each classroom and interactive whitebords in all classrooms; wireless laptop system to be used in Key Stage 2. Before-school care, from 8am; after-school, until 6pm. Numerous extra-curricular activities: Young Scientists, Club Francais, football team, athletics team, philosophy for children, drama and guitar. 'Vibrant' parent-teacher association that organises many activities.
